At 2:00 pm on Friday March 3, 1876 flakes of meat fell from a clear, windless sky at the farm of Allen Crouch, 3 miles south of
Olympia Springs in Bath County, Kentucky.

 

 

 

 

On Tuesday March 3, 2009 Kurt Gohde will re-seed the clouds with meat by releasing 1876 helium ballons--each with their own stick of dried meat.

This re-seeding project will be photographed and videotaped. Final resting points of the falling flesh will also be located on a Google map--as a record of what will become the only recorded meat rain in recent history.
